Domagoj Kutle lives in Zagreb, Croatia. He is married, has a wonderful wife and two beautiful children. His mother comes from Podravina in the northwestern part of Croatia. Domagoj notes that the area is known for calm, hardworking, patient, and warm people. His father comes from Široki Brijeg in the southwestern Croatian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. That area is recognized by less emotional, pugnacious, and quick-witted people who know how to succeed very fast in life. Domagoj suggests that these are two very different mentalities, which sometimes clash inside of him. His mother was a hairdresser who later became a housewife. His father is a medical doctor who later became a member of Parliament and founder of the modern Croatian state. He was also a University Professor and supervising Board member of Brethren of the Croatian Dragon (legal successor of Ordo equestris draconis), amongst other roles. The Kutle surname is well known in Croatia. Domagoj’s uncle was a businessman and tycoon. Culturally, his family comes from a Christian, Catholic part of Europe which places great emphasis on tradition and protection of national, cultural, and religious heritage. Domagoj emphasizes the importance of traditional values in his family education. When asked about his childhood years in Croatia, Domagoj notes that he enjoyed his childhood. He grew up with two sisters in the idyllic atmosphere of small-town Križevci. His house had a large backyard, a dog, and a garden. Later, his family moved to a Zagreb, a much larger town where life was more hurried, and friendships less deep. When he looks back into the past today, he is saddened that his children are missing out on the small-town experience that probably defined him for the rest of his life. In elementary and high school, Domagoj was consistently a straight-A student who read a lot, but also had enough free time for games and sports. When it came time to choose which high school he would go to after elementary school, he remembers finding it a difficult decision to make as he was a high achiever in all areas and couldn’t make a firm decision. As a result, his father brought him to orientational testing. It turned out that he scored quite high on the verbal part of those batteries of aptitude tests. The psychologist was surprised with his verbal score and took the time to show him his placement on the Bell curve. He also suggested Domagoj should go to Classical Gymnasium (grammar school) and concentrate on foreign and classical languages. However, he chose instead to go to a mathematical high school (MIOC). At that time, MIOC was the most elite mathematical high school in Croatia. He easily passed the entrance test.
Domagoj has a BSc in Electrical Engineering in the field of Radiocommunications and Professional Electronics. Presently, he works in the related field of Radio Communications Engineering. His position involves the support of joint projects in his employer company's department, Installation and Maintenance, Transmitters and Communications Ltd. His professional goal is to advance higher - all the way to the top - within the hierarchy of his company, in order to make it much bigger, more successful, and more stable on the market, so he can help the people neglected for years to fully present their true potential. Domagoj never mentions his success on intelligence testing to his co-workers, as he sees it as irrelevant to his job. He notes that it is essential to realize that we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes you are valued by your strengths, sometimes by your weaknesses. He often prefers to surprise everyone with something positive nobody expected, instead of just being perceived as being critical of their work. Sometimes, even the most underappreciated among us can make a massive difference if goodwill is present and the atmosphere in the company is kept positive. He sees his job as vital to his being able to provide for his family. Over the years, he has remained grateful to everyone who has shown that they have trust in him. They will always have his support. Domagoj enjoys working with high IQ people, and in his professional field has worked with people of different abilities and different IQ levels. He has noticed that gifted people are no less ambitious than other people around them. However, sometimes something within them has prevented them from being more visible when the opportunity to advance arises. Often it is because they were more quiet and less aggressive. And that costs them a lot. He thinks it is important overall that we know ourselves in order to know what our strengths and weaknesses are. Knowing your potential - your mental potential, your IQ - is a first step in that direction
Domagoj has made many valuable contributions to the High IQ community and is currently a member of more than thirty High IQ societies, including MENSA, Glia, ISPE, and Intertel. In addition to founding the Catholiq and VeNuS societies, he also serves on the Board of Genius High IQ Network and volunteers as Intertel Area Coordinator for Croatia. He is a top scorer on several High Range Tests (HRTs) and a Winner of The Phi Test Contest. He recently received special recognition as: World Genius Directory: 2020 Genius of the Year – Europe. In a recent issue of “Genius Gnorizon – Journal of the Genius Hi Iq Network,” Domagoj was aptly described as being a kind and altruistic genius. Domagoj responds to this by stating that different people have different experiences. Sometimes, in addition to showing kindness, it is also necessary to use his authority to protect those whom he cares about. He has never been afraid of conflict if a cause is right. There will always be troublemakers and people with evil motives, but we need to stand firm against those kinds of people and protect our friends and their dignity as a whole. This also applies to the High IQ community. Intelligence has everything to do with standing up for righteous causes. Domagoj very much enjoys his interactions within the High IQ community. There you have the opportunity to meet like-minded people and make contributions aimed at improving the community itself. He has made many good friends, and although they are internet friendships, he is confident that at a later date there will be opportunities to meet some of these friends face to face. He has a number of projects in mind for future development of the High IQ community, particularly in the area of test development and norming.
